Good Children get their allowance

I was planning on skipping the political stuff for a while. Ever since the Republicans were barely able to squeeze out a victory in the last election, with a war going on and a pitiful excuse for a challenger, I knew that there was no way they'd be elected again.
But when I saw this analysis in the WSJ and then again in the NYpost, I figured I'd pass it along.

Obama's 95% Illusion

Obama tells the truth about taxes

  • You have been following the whole "Joe the Plumber" thing, haven't you? The part where he 'fessed up that he won't really be making more than $250k anyhow and that as such, he really would be getting a tax break? That he appears to have been a Republican plant (and some relation, maybe?, to Charles Keating...my lefty wingnuttery doesn't go that far, since that strikes me as implausible that the campaign wouldn't have vetted their schill a little more closely)? That he's doing business under false pretenses (not really a member of Local 189, holding himself out to be a union plumber when he's not) and illegally (no license for doing business in the cities in which he's doing contracting work, as required by muni law)?

Really just what a flagging campaign needed...a little bit of Ronald Reagan, only in his post-Alzheimer haze.

  • Nice little side journey, there.

How about the fact that when Obama talks about how he'll be cutting everybody's taxes, he really means he will take more and there's only a cut if you factor in taking advantage of all his little tax credits, i.e., welfare.

He'll take more money, but if you obey, you might get some of it back.

  • Just a little visit back to address bridgett's clusterfork-in-the-road over Joe the Plumber.

Brown shirts of the Obama cult ILLEGALLY accessed his private records for political dirt-digging.

Just more of what we can expect here on the Animal Farm. Question the Messiah and you'll go to the gulag.

  • Two things about the Western version of Democracy:

If you can keep the people asking the wrong questions you never have to provide answers to the right ones.

    and

How fortunate it is for Governments that the people just do not think.
