No concept of capitalism
This bugged the hell out of me when I first heard it. Now, I'm reminded of it as it makes the rounds.
President Obama was doing his press thingy. Some reporter asked him about his government health insurance pushing private health insurers out of business. Obama responds "If private insurers say that the marketplace provides the best quality health care; if they tell us that they're offering a good deal, then why is it that the government, which they say can't run anything, suddenly is going to drive them out of business? That's not logical."
Hey, Jackass! The government doesn't have to make a profit!
Either he is THAT stupid, or he thinks WE are THAT stupid. Niether one fills me with happiness.

Successful bidnesses innovate when they are faced with changing conditions. I would predict that they will expand supplemental insurance, vision, dental, and "lifestyle" programs.
This presupposes that anything actually changes. I'm betting on inertia. I would have thought that you would have been all for the idea of giving businesses a break by not shackling them with the costs of their employees' health care. (Or are you just being contrarian?)

You're dreaming.
Obama cleverly said that "The government isn't going to take away your insurance"
That's true. Your own employer is going to do it as soon as he sees that he can chuck the cost onto the feds. They aren't going to expand anything.
The worst part is that Barry knows this. It's an obvious scam. I'm against the feds messing in the free market, then acting like they are just another player.
Bridgett aren't you one of the loudest screamers about Walmart doing something like this?
